Called “Finding Connection,” Rossi’s body of work focuses on the interconnectedness of all matter of things, and the energy and life force that unites them. Encaustic painting and oil paintings are her primary medium of choice because of their the fluidity and translucency. of these media lend themselves to her exploration. She says, “In my view, the creative process and life itself is about community, connection and the energy that unites.”

Painter and printmaker, Michael Rich explores the landscapes of his experience in intensely colored, gestural abstractions; lively, inventive drawings; unique monoprints; and large-scale works in oil. In this exhibit, he is presenting several print collage pieces as well as oil and wax paintings on canvas. While light, weather and atmosphere act as the impetus for his work, he says, “It is my aim to probe the depths of an inner space through meditations in light and color. I am searching, through the language of contemporary abstraction, a deeper connection, and understanding of place and consciousness of the present moment. The painting themselves lie in the places between memory and new moments of discovery.”
