Now available at Lunch Money Print, "Donegal" is a rare, edition print based on a recent small painting inspired by my travels in Ireland.  Most of my prints, in both intaglio and woodcut are one-of-a-kind monoprints as I prefer to explore the possibilities of image making rather than settle on one final image.  Invited to contribute a print to Lunch Money Print, I set out to develop a singular image with the composition and color scheme of this small painting.  The print was constructed, layer upon layer as my paintings are.  The result is a deeply textural image.  The print, pulled by hand from my press in my Pawtucket Studio is an affordable entry into collecting my work and is exclusively available through Lunch Money Print.

Much of my time in Ireland was spent on the West coast, wandering fairways and grassy fields in the small rugged towns by the sea.  It's a magical area with a windswept landscape, beautiful skies and deep history.  I saw in this painting a reminder of the skies and weather of that area and suspect Ireland will continue to find it's way into my work.
